Job summary

Dss Cat seeks a skilled maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment in our Gillette, WY area. You will inspect engines, hydraulic, electrical and power train systems, and document findings while performing repairs to meet supervisor and customer expectations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, ability to read English, strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work varied shifts; CDL and DOT inspection experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Able to read and understand English
• Mechanical background
• Own or ability to obtain required tooling

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment using diagnostic tools to identify problems.
• Remove, repair or replace components in engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Write detailed, accurate service reports describing work performed.
• Work varied shift schedules.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and accuracy in daily tasks.
