Job summary

Bechtel in Pecos, Texas seeks an Equipment Superintendent to lead onsite equipment management from mobilization to demobilization. You will supervise the equipment department, ensure proper inspection, maintenance, fueling, and safe operation aligned with project requirements and health, safety, and environmental objectives.

Coordinate with Equipment Managers, supervision, maintenance teams, and vendors to keep equipment available and compliant, while maintaining records and preparing forecasts

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating construction equipment operations, utilization, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of inspection practices, preventive maintenance, and field troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret work plans, schedules, and equipment documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain records and produce reports.
• Effective communication and collaboration with supervision, craft, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment on arrival, during use, and before demobilization with reports.
• Ensure manuals and spare parts are available and accessible.
• Schedule preventive maintenance inspections and lubrication.
• Enforce safety programs and OSHA/compliance requirements.
• Coordinate equipment supply, planning, and field execution.
• Maintain equipment records, costs, and utilization trends.
• Prepare equipment-related reports and forecasts.
