Job summary

STERIS is seeking an Equipment Service Technician who will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medical equipment in hospital environments. The role is remote-based with daily travel in the assigned territory, requiring a valid driver's license and the ability to work independently while coordinating with a cross-functional team.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in mechanical/technical work, familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems, and strong communication skills to support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
• 2+ years in a mechanical/technical role.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, or medical equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
• Prioritize Customer and business needs to complete tasks autonomously.
• Collaborate with Tech Support, Engineering and Service Contract Management to escalate issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide Customers with information, pricing and repair options; identify sales opportunities with management support.
• Support multiple locations within assigned territory as needed.
