Job summary

Steris Corporation in Dallas, TX is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to perform troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on Steris and competitor equipment. You will manage time across PMs, service calls and installations, while collaborating with Tech Support, Engineering and Service Contract Management to meet customer needs.

The role requires a 4+ year mechanical/technical background, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain vendor credentialing.
• Customer and team engagement experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Windows/email, navigation, mobile app, and data input into multi systems).
• Must be able to meet flexible schedules with potential overnights, as well as early/late hours, based on Customer and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment, systems and components.
• Manage time effectively by prioritizing Customer and business needs and schedules autonomously to complete PM performance, service calls, warranty calls, equipment installations, field upgrade programs and other duties.
• Work with cross functional teams (Tech Support, Engineering and Service Contract Management), to elevate issues appropriately and utilize advanced technology platforms to complete compliance regulatory requirements, and resolve and document troubleshooting issues.
• Provide Customers with information, pricing and repair options. With management support, build relationships with Sales to drive Customer experience and revenue opportunities. Learn to identify sales opportunities in assigned territory.
• Provide support to various locations within assigned territory depending on the service agreements and Customer needs.
