Altec is seeking a field/service technician across the U.S. and Canada to support utilities and telecom with a state-of-the-art service vehicle and flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience with heavy equipment or construction machinery, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work overtime. The role offers competitive pay ($32-35/hr) and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or state equivalency.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to move objects up to 75 pounds and frequent bending/squatting.
• Dexterity sufficient for precise mechanical work.
• Ability to use basic computer tools including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Use technical resources to troubleshoot and identify parts.
• Create Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly.
• Follow Altec safety practices and procedures.
• Inform supervisors of issues affecting customers.
• Provide complete information on required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
