Job summary

Ashton Sawing and Drilling in Dallas and Houston is seeking a Service Mechanic to keep assets and equipment in “Like New” condition by performing preventive maintenance and timely repairs across field and shop locations.

You will work Monday–Friday, 2nd shift with potential overtime and weekends. The role involves coordinating with dispatch, maintaining yard and shop areas, and upholding 5S standards to maximize safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Tool sign in/ out per operator and track all tools and equipment.
• Daily truck inventory and inspection.
• Maintain and repair equipment and assets per schedule.
• Maintain yard, breakroom, bathroom, tool room, and shop using 5S principles.
• Tool repairs and identify misuse or improvement needs.
• Use check in tags correctly and ensure tags are filled out daily.
• Occasionally pick up and run equipment and parts to jobs.
• Communicate daily with dispatch about next-day needs and issues.
• Hold operators to tool and equipment standards.
• Report issues to supervisor daily.
