Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to provide on-site maintenance and repair for construction equipment across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This role requires daily travel in a company service truck and hands-on troubleshooting on active projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy equipment repair, experience with skid steers and excavators, and a valid driver’s license. We offer health insurance, PTO, and a bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing construction or heavy equipment.
• Experience with skid steers, compact excavators, loaders, and similar equipment.
• Experience with fleet tracking software
• Ability to work independently in a field environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites throughout the DFW Metroplex to inspect, service, and repair equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues (e.g., skid steers, compact excavators, fleet maintenance).
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Support project teams by minimizing equipment downtime.
• Maintain service records and communicate repair needs to management.
• Ensure company equipment remains safe, reliable, and job-ready.
• Operate and maintain a company-provided service truck.
