Job summary

Alpha Inc. is seeking a Field Equipment Coordinator in Hawaii to keep equipment ready and operations moving. This boots-on-the-ground role involves moving gear, coordinating access, and supporting maintenance and repairs.

You’ll work directly with the Equipment Manager and field teams, require a CDL Class A, and have 2–3+ years in heavy construction or related fields. It is a fast-paced, hands-on environment that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support equipment readiness by checking status and coordinating repairs.
• Operate CDL-required vehicles to transport equipment, attachments, parts, and supplies.
• Coordinate mobilizations, transfers, deliveries, and staging between worksites.
• Work with Dispatch to support transportation and equipment moves.
• Assist preventative maintenance by locating, staging, and obtaining parts.
• Help repairs by moving equipment and following repair tasks to completion.
• Provide parts, tools, and supplies to mechanics and field teams.
• Ensure equipment location, status, downtime, and completed assignments are communicated.
• Complete basic equipment documentation (hours, mileage, transfer records).
• Keep trucks and equipment clean, organized, and ready to work.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Support yard, facility, and jobsite needs as required.
• Perform hands-on labor when needed and follow safety requirements.

Alpha Inc. is looking for a Field Equipment Coordinator who knows that equipment doesn’t magically show up where it needs to be, parts don’t deliver themselves, and downtime doesn’t fix itself.

This is a boots-on-the-ground, get-it-done role for someone who thrives on movement, responsibility, and solving the next problem before it becomes everybody’s problem.

One hour you might be checking equipment readiness. The next, you’re moving equipment or attachments, tracking down a critical part, supporting a PM, coordinating access for a repair, or making sure a crew has what it needs to keep working.

You’ll work directly with our Equipment Manager and alongside mechanics, operators, Superintendents, Project Managers, Dispatch, vendors, and field teams.

Your mission is simple: help keep Alpha’s equipment ready and our operations moving.

What You’ll Own

This role is about execution.

You’ll take assignments from the Equipment Manager and make sure they get handled safely, efficiently, and completely.

That includes:

• Supporting equipment readiness by checking status, identifying service or repair needs, and getting issues in front of the right people.
• Operating company trucks and CDL-required vehicles within your licensing and qualifications to transport equipment, attachments, materials, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Supporting equipment mobilizations, demobilizations, transfers, pickups, deliveries, and staging between jobsites, yards, vendors, and other locations.
• Working with Dispatch as directed to support transportation and equipment moves while respecting established responsibilities and lines of authority.
• Helping make preventative maintenance happen by locating and staging equipment, coordinating access, obtaining parts and supplies, and handling field needs that could otherwise slow the work down.
• Supporting equipment repairs by moving or staging equipment, coordinating vendor access, delivering and retrieving parts, and following assigned repair tasks through completion.
• Picking up, delivering, organizing, and staging the parts, tools, materials, and supplies our mechanics and field operations need.
• Supporting fueling, lubrication, attachments, equipment swaps, and short-term equipment requirements.
• Keeping the Equipment Manager and appropriate project personnel informed about equipment location, status, downtime, and completed assignments.
• Completing basic equipment documentation, including hours/mileage, work-order information, and transfer or delivery records.
• Keeping company trucks, trailers, tools, and assigned equipment clean, organized, safe, and ready to work.
• Performing basic equipment inspections and immediately escalating unsafe conditions, damage, or maintenance concerns.
• Supporting yard, facility, and jobsite needs including organization, material movement, deliveries, cleanup, and field-service coordination.
• Performing hands-on labor and field assignments within your training and qualifications when that's what the operation needs.
• Following DOT, CDL, company, jobsite, and applicable local, state, and federal safety requirements—every time.

• Hold a valid CDL Class A and have a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Have experience safely operating trucks and trailers and transporting construction equipment or materials.
• Understand heavy construction equipment and the basics of preventative maintenance and repair processes.
• Can work independently without going radio silent.
• Stay organized when priorities change quickly.
• Communicate well with field crews, mechanics, managers, vendors, and other departments.
• Are comfortable working in active construction environments, equipment yards, shops, and jobsites.
• Have basic computer and mobile-device skills and can learn Alpha’s equipment-management and documentation systems.
• Treat safety as part of the job—not something that gets in the way of the job.
• See something that needs attention and take appropriate action instead of assuming someone else will handle it.
