Job summary

Tucson Electric Power seeks an Environmental Technician to perform field-based, labor-intensive environmental compliance support at the Springerville Generating Station. You will implement programs for air, water, waste, and drinking water, assisting with Title V, APP, CCR, RCRA, and related regulations.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, vegetation control, sampling, and maintenance of compliance programs, with hands-on support to Environmental Coordinators.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required for Level I.
Valid driver's license and ability to perform outdoor field tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in all weather.
HAZWOPER 40-hour certification or ability to obtain.
Experience in environmental fieldwork and sampling preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine field housekeeping and site maintenance.
Conduct vegetation control and access road maintenance.
Assist with RCRA and waste management operations.
Support CCR, Title V, APP, and drinking water sampling.
Maintain sampling equipment and field data records.
Report abnormal field conditions and safety concerns.
