Job summary

UNS Energy Corporation's Springerville Generating Station is seeking an Environmental Technician to perform field-based, labor-intensive environmental compliance support across air, water, waste, and drinking water programs. You'll implement hands-on programs, housekeeping, vegetation control, inspections, sampling, and maintenance of permits.

You will support Title V, APP, CCR, RCRA and drinking water regulations, assist with waste management, CCR inspections, and operating monitoring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification (or ability to obtain).
• Direct field-based environmental experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine environmental housekeeping and site maintenance.
• Conducts vegetation control around monitoring wells and equipment.
• Performs sampling and measurement tasks and assists with CEMS areas.
• Assists with waste handling and housekeeping per RCRA requirements.
• Supports CCR unit inspections and leachate monitoring.
• Assists with drinking water sampling and system inspections.
