Job summary

HGS Engineering, Inc. seeks an Environmental Technician in Oxford, AL, to perform field sampling nationwide. The role requires frequent travel, including short-notice assignments, with in-office hours Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm and variable travel weeks.

You will collect water samples, measure field parameters, document activities, and maintain equipment, often working with limited supervision to meet strict protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to travel frequently to collect samples across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Travel to collect water samples from various facilities across the United States.
• Take field measurements of water (pH, temperature, etc.).
• Document sampling activities and chain of custody forms accurately.
• Maintain field equipment and calibrate meters.
• Travel up to 80% of the time and occasional Sundays.
