Job summary

Canacre is seeking a field-based environmental professional to conduct wetland and watercourse surveys, collect and analyze ecological data, and produce detailed GIS maps and regulatory reports.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of environmental consulting experience, familiarity with 401/404 permits, NEPA assessments, and strong teamwork skills. Field work and cross-regional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in biology, engineering, geology, environmental sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years environmental consulting/field surveying experience.
• Experience with Section 401/404 regulations and wetlands.
• Experience with NEPA assessments and regulatory permitting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of wetlands and watercourses.
• Collect data on water quality, hydrology, biodiversity and ecological health.
• Create maps/reports using GIS technology.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Assist with restoration projects and monitoring.
