Job summary

Apex Companies seeks an Environmental Scientist to join our Manassas, VA team in a hands-on, field-focused role. You will conduct groundwater monitoring, environmental sampling, and support remediation projects while traveling regionally.

This position offers 80% field time with some documentation and data evaluation work. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, strong observation and reporting skills, and the ability to work independently within a project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Ability to perform field work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites; HAZWOPER eligible.

Responsibilities

• Conduct groundwater monitoring and sample collection.
• Support remediation and stormwater inspections.
• Document field activities and data; assist with reports.
