Job summary

Onterris Payroll, LLC is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist to join an emergency response team. The role involves environmental sampling, data collection, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene applications to protect health and the environment.

The position requires 40-hour HAZWOPER training within three weeks, DISA and TWIC clearances within three months, and readiness for extended travel and on-call shifts. A Bachelor's degree in a related science is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, or related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience may substitute for degree.
• Advanced computer skills on Windows.
• Ability to learn various software and manage admin duties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.
• HAZWOPER certification.
• DISA and TWIC clearances.
• Current driver's license and passport.
• OSHA training completion and respirator knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Travel on short notice for emergency response.
• Maintain, calibrate and mobilize equipment for emergency response.
• Gather and analyze samples from various sources of potential contamination.
• Perform monitoring and sampling according to prescribed methods.
• Compile, review and summarize scientific/technical data and literature.
• Complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training within first three weeks of hire date.
• Obtain DISA and TWIC clearances within 3 months of hire date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
