Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking an Environmental Remediation Technician to join our New England team. You will perform remediation system installation, operation, and monitoring, plus field data collection for municipal, industrial, and commercial projects.

You will travel 90-100% regionally with occasional nationwide assignments, support time-sensitive actions, and collaborate with engineers, geologists, and scientists in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus).
• 5+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, construction, and/or related industry.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A current driver’s license.
• Ability to travel throughout New England with occasional nationwide travel.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform field work in rough terrain.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and OSHA 10-Hour Construction training (OSHA 30-Hour training is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform remediation system installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair.
• Collect samples, field data, and documentation of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media.
• Support field investigations, in situ and ex situ remediation technologies, and performance monitoring.
• Field activities including test pitting, soil sampling, well installation oversight, and groundwater monitoring.
• Monitoring and control inspections of remediation and construction projects with supervision and documentation.
• Provide environmental response action support during standard and non-standard hours; travel as project needs require.
• Operate construction equipment and related tooling to support remediation projects.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, data compilation, and safety management.
• Assist in preparing regulatory submittals, work plans, technical memorandums, and engineering design reports.
