Job summary

WSP USA seeks an Environmental Technician to support environmental operations in the greater Cheyenne area. The role emphasizes field work, troubleshooting remediation systems, and data collection with a strong mechanical/electrical skill set.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in construction, equipment operation or remediation maintenance, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Travel to project sites and occasional after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of construction, equipment operation and maintenance or remediation system maintenance.
• Good mechanical and electrical skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours as required.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Scientist.
• Travel to project sites in the greater Cheyenne, WY area using a company vehicle; ~95% field work.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems (groundwater and soil) across WY and northern CO.
• Assist in site characterization and field sampling (soil, groundwater, air).
• Prepare accurate daily field reports documenting activities.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain parts and supplies.
• Proactively identify maintenance needs and schedule tasks across multiple sites.
