TRC Companies, Inc. seeks an Environmental Construction Monitor to provide environmental monitoring, compliance, and inspection services during construction in Texas and nearby states. Projects include large renewable energy, pipelines, and generation/transmission work.

The role requires field presence, strong communication, and the ability to manage data and coordinate with clients and contractors under challenging schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or soils science, biology, ecology, botany, forestry, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in environmental compliance and construction monitoring, including SWPPP inspections and reporting.
• Excellent verbal communications and technical skills, plus ability to work year-round in the field under tight schedules.
• Willingness to travel and be on-site for extended periods, up to 6 days/week and 12-hour days in the elements.
• Knowledge of permitting regulations and experience with wetland delineations and habitat assessments.

• Conduct construction monitoring and inspections independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate good communication and data management capabilities in the field.
• Interact in the field with clients and other contractors during projects.
