dawsonohana is seeking a field environmental monitor for a full-time assignment near Lukeville, Arizona, on a large-scale government project. The role requires BS in biological sciences and field data collection, with GPS/tablet usage and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in biological sciences or related field required.
• Two years of environmental monitoring at construction sites preferred.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and varied terrain in the field.
• Strong written/verbal communication and organization skills; detail-oriented data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily environmental field notes with photographs documenting compliance with project practices.
• Collect project-related data and support surveys for listed species and environmental BMPs.
• Conduct pre-construction surveys for nesting birds and listed plants/wildlife as needed.
• Mark off areas to avoid sensitive resources and ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with construction personnel, government, regulators, and stakeholders.
