Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a dedicated Biological Monitor for a full-time field role along the US/Mexico border in Arizona. The candidate will perform environmental monitoring on a large-scale government project, documenting data, and ensuring compliance with BMPs while working with diverse teams.

Responsibilities include pre-construction surveys, data recording, and coordination with Government and stakeholders. A BS in biological sciences and field experience are required; willingness to travel and pass

Qualifications

• BS in biological sciences or related field.
• Two years of environmental monitoring at construction sites preferred.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and travel to field locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to document data accurately and prepare technical reports.
• Familiarity with identifying flora/fauna and environmental monitoring at construction sites.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily environmental field notes with photographs to document compliance with project BMPs.
• Collect and manage project data, including surveys for listed species and reporting to Government Point of Contact.
