LAUKOA seeks a Field Environmental Monitor in Yuma, AZ for a large-scale government project. The role is full-time (40 hours/week plus overtime) in a construction setting, requiring field presence daily and independent work.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in biological sciences, with 2 years of environmental monitoring experience, and comfortable working in extreme weather. Proficiency with GPS and tablets for documenting observations is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in biological sciences or related field.
• Two years of environmental monitoring at construction sites.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather and independently.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass federal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily environmental field notes with photographs of compliance.
• Collect project data and support surveys for listed species.
• Conduct pre-construction surveys for nesting birds and protected plants.
• Mark off areas to protect sensitive resources.
• Communicate with construction teams, government staff, and stakeholders.
