Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Billings, MT, is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to advance environmental site characterization and remediation for government and private clients.

Based in Billings, you will spend about 70% of your time in the field and 30% in the office, in a hybrid work environment. A BS in engineering or geology with 2–5 years of experience and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification are required; a Master's and CERCLA/RCRA familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, geology or related field.
• 2–5 years delivering environmental site characterization/remediation projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including local and regional travel.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and field data collection.
• Knowledge of chain-of-custody procedures and data evaluation.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license for travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage local field projects.
• Conduct fieldwork and travel to sites as needed.
• Coordinate with PMs, subcontractors, and staff.
• Perform vapor intrusion assessments and collect samples.
• Plan, implement, and monitor vapor intrusion mitigations.
• Analyze data, write technical reports, and design pilot/remedial systems.
• Mentor peers and grow into leadership over time.
