Job summary

GHD is seeking a Field Environmental/Scientist/Engineer to join the U.S. West Mining Team for full-time field environmental compliance monitoring on a major mine infrastructure project. The role is onsite in Idaho with a 14/7 rotation, 10–12 hour shifts, and on-site accommodations, meals, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in environmental compliance, construction monitoring, or related programs.
• Ability to work 14 days on site, 7 days off, 10–12 hour shifts in Idaho.
• Experience conducting field inspections and environmental monitoring activities.
• Knowledge of dust control, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water quality monitoring, and permitting requirements.
• Strong documentation skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and field data collection tools; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the construction team as the primary field resource for environmental compliance.
• Support environmentally responsible construction practices while maintaining safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, environmental specialists, and safety professionals.
• Deliver full-time field environmental monitoring for a major mine infrastructure project.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reporting to meet regulatory and client requirements.
