Job summary

Phase3D seeks a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the production and deployment of in-situ monitoring systems for additive manufacturing. You will join a fast-paced startup environment with the resources of a national laboratory, assembling electrical assemblies, performing testing, and traveling to customer sites for installs and training.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
• Engineering mindset, willing to learn new disciplines.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Production and Assembly: Build, pack, ship, and test production electrical assemblies; wire harnesses and components; use hand and power tools; perform internal testing; maintain quality through documentation.
• Field Service and Installation: Travel to customer sites for installation, setup, and training; troubleshoot, calibrate, and integrate with customer hardware; communicate with customers for smooth deployment; identify field issues for improvements.
• Operations Support: Assist in inventory management; create and update work instructions, installation guides, and process documentation; collaborate cross-functionally; support lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
