Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Field Engineering Project Lead in the United States to drive complex electrical utility projects, including transmission and relay protection upgrades. You’ll be the primary client interface from initial assessments through proposals and submittals, coordinating with field teams and operations.

The role requires strong field operations experience, advanced technical knowledge in protection and control, and the ability to oversee project planning, scheduling, and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred).
• 5+ years in relay testing/commissioning or protection & control design.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• Ability to read One Line diagrams and P&C drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical utility projects including transmission and relay upgrades.
• Serve as primary client interface from assessment to submittals.
• Review P&C drawings and address design questions.
• Coordinate materials and crews, outages with operations.
• Ensure compliance, plan outages, and organize bids.
• Maintain schedules and coordinate equipment and labor.
• Participate in Production/Client meetings.
• Build relationships with customers and advocate for their operations.
