Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Engineering Manager 2 to lead our Field Engineering team in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on managing an operations team supporting BACN programs, with responsibilities spanning real-world missions and exercises across CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in an engineering or military operations context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Experience leading diverse teams and coordinating across units.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Field Engineering team of ~15 engineers.
• Oversee operations supporting real-world missions and exercises across multiple sites (OCONUS/CONUS).
• Ensure program execution adheres to cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop staff; manage performance and career growth.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and travel up to 25%.
