Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Engineering Manager 2 for the Field Engineering organization based out of San Diego, CA. You will lead a team of about 15 field engineers and split time between management and program contributions within the Business Units supported.

The role requires a US citizenship, active Secret clearance, and a strong background in military communications systems. Travel up to 25% to CONUS/OCONUS locations is expected, with a salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience; military ops background preferred.
• Experience in operation, integration, configuration of military communications systems and Tactical Data Links.
• Proven leadership, strong communication, and ability to work in integrated product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an operations team supporting various field missions and programs.
• Oversee cost, schedule, and mission quality for field execution; conduct reviews for milestones and proposals.
• Recruit, mentor and develop staff; build diverse, engaged teams; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25% to CONUS/OCONUS locations.
