Christy Media Solutions is supporting an international technology leader in the mission-critical IT/AV domain by recruiting a Field Engineering Manager / Supervisor to join the US team.

This hands-on leadership role combines directing day-to-day field engineering with mentoring a team of Field Engineers across the United States, ensuring high-quality installations, support and customer service in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field engineering experience in technical environments.
• Experience leading or supervising engineers.
• Strong AV and networking knowledge; willing to travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Field Engineers.
• Remain hands-on with system installations, configuration and commissioning.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Provide technical support via phone, email, remote access and onsite visits.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform maintenance activities.
• Coordinate field activity and support effective allocation of engineering resources.
• Support system staging and configuration.
• Assist with technical documentation, reporting and engineering processes.
• Deliver end-user training and technical demonstrations where required.
• Support the development and technical progression of junior Field Engineers.
• Work closely with customers and internal technical teams to ensure issues are resolved effectively.

Job description

We are currently supporting an outstanding international technology leader within the mission-critical IT/AV technology domain in the search for a Field Engineering Manager / Supervisor to join their growing US team!

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining day-to-day field engineering with responsibility for supporting, developing and coordinating a team of Field Engineers across the US

You'd remain close to the technology - supporting system installations, troubleshooting, maintenance and customer support across complex, real-time, mission-critical environments - while also acting as a senior technical escalation point and helping to ensure the wider engineering team delivers consistently for customers.

The role would involve supporting solutions within complex control room environments across verticals such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Utilities and Transportation.

This position would suit an experienced Field Engineer, Senior Technical Support Engineer or similar hands-on technical professional who has strong networking/AV knowledge and is ready to take on greater responsibility for team leadership, mentoring and operational delivery.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience within Field Engineering, Technical Support or a similar technical environment
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising technical engineers
• Experience with audio-visual and networking technology
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including LAN, TCP/IP and DHCP
• Experience working with Windows systems and applications
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving capability
• Ability to travel extensively (50–75%)
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer-facing skills
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/hold a valid passport
