Webber, a Ferrovial company in Houston, invites you to join our internship program across Safety, Survey/Estimating, Project Supervision and Field Engineering. This 12-week program provides hands-on experience in heavy civil construction and infrastructure management.

You will gain practical skills while supporting field teams, learning to interpret plans, conduct jobsite audits, and contribute to accurate surveying and planning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or related 4-year program.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Able to perform physical field activities.
• Strong understanding of construction math.
• Able to read plans and set layouts.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Hazard Safety Observations (HSO).
• Learn necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage for jobsite activities.
• Observe and prevent safety incidents.
• Conduct jobsite audits.
• Learn how to interpret plans and set layouts.
• Understand how to survey quantities.
• Gain knowledge in conversions and accurate surveying practice.
• Assess man-hours and materials needed for production.
• Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.
