Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, invites students to a 12-week internship across Heavy Civil, Waterworks, Infrastructure Management, and Energy segments. Be mentored by industry professionals while supporting safety, surveying, supervision, and field engineering tasks.

You will gain hands-on experience, read plans, perform site surveys, and learn to estimate quantities with a focus on quality and teamwork in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant 4-year engineering/construction program.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to read plans and perform field surveying.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Hazard Safety Observations (HSO).
• Know and apply necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for jobsite activities.
• Observe and prevent safety incidents.
• Conduct jobsite audits.
• Learn how to interpret plans and set layouts.
• Understand how to survey for quantities.
• Gain knowledge in conversions and accurate surveying practice.
• Assess man-hours time and materials needed for production.
• Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.
