Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Associate, Field Engineer to join our team and assist in the installation and maintenance of complex communications systems at FAA facilities. The engineer will perform in the electronic and electromechanical areas, working from schematics and manuals to install, test, and troubleshoot equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with communications gear, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree candidates or those who completed their degree within the last 12 months are eligible.

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, configure, and test communications equipment and supporting infrastructure at FAA facilities.
• Perform system troubleshooting and repair to ensure optimal operation of the system.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret installation drawings and specs.
• Support site surveys to assess installation requirements and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Document installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Travel extensively to FAA facilities as required by project assignments.
• Obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust clearance.
