Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join our team and support the installation and maintenance of complex communications systems at FAA facilities. The engineer will lead removal, construction, test, and check-out of fielded systems, using schematics, manuals, engineering drawings, and written instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum 6 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 4 years; or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, configure, and test communications equipment at FAA facilities.
• Perform system troubleshooting and repair to ensure operation of the system.
• Interpret installation drawings and specifications with engineering teams.
• Support site surveys to assess installation requirements and plan logistics.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Document installation, repair, and maintenance activities accurately.
