Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc. is seeking Field Engineers to support Civil, Structural and Earthworks for a major WWTP project in the Eugene, Oregon area.

You will provide field support to project management and supervision to ensure safe, on-time construction per policy and engineering standards. The role involves layout, procurement, submittals, takeoffs, documentation, and field inspections, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering or related field.
• 0-5 years of construction, design and/or field support experience/knowledge.
• Working knowledge of drawings, specifications, building materials, and required standards.
• Familiarity with project management databases such as CMiC, P6, Bluebeam, CAD, Expedition, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Support project management and supervision to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule and per standards.
• Assist with layout, procurement, submittals, scheduling, quantity takeoffs, document controls and project controls.
• Conduct field and quality inspections to verify work aligns with plans and specs.
• Prepare drawings, sketches and method statements to support construction activities and changes.
• Facilitate and submit work method statements and obtain necessary permits.
• Provide field support to supervision and craft labor and lead selected activities.
• Resolve drawing interpretation issues; raise RFIs and manage resolutions.
• Prepare/build site lines and elevations for accurate material installation.
• Review subcontractor pay apps, project schedule, RFIs, and progress reports.
• Assist with reviewing contractor claims, changes, and records.

Education
