Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation. They are seeking a Field Engineer to join the Texas Division in the Austin area, handling general contracting duties on varied water and wastewater projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field, a High School diploma, and prior field experience. Proficiency with MS Office is expected, with strong communication skills for on-site coordination.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related Program required.
Prior construction field experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

General Contract and Subcontract administration.
Construction scheduling.
Procurement and expediting of material and equipment.
Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination.
Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting.
Review of subcontractor applications for payment.
Participation in project meetings.
Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations.
Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors.
