Job summary

Dean Snyder Construction in the Midwest is seeking a field supervisor to learn and apply construction techniques while working in the field under the superintendent. You will read blueprints, coordinate crews, supervise subcontractors, and assist in purchasing materials to maintain schedules.

Travel may be project driven and varies over time; the role offers a path toward becoming a superintendent with strong emphasis on safety, communication, and on-site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Review data to determine material and labor requirements.
• Works in the field under direct supervision of the Superintendent. Performs concrete/steel/carpentry tasks as needed.
• Coordinate shop drawings with conformance to building documents.
• Assists Superintendent in planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Consults with clients, vendors, subcontractors, or other individuals to discuss and resolve issues.
