Job summary

Unisys in Hartford, CT is seeking a Field Engineer to support client environments with hardware, software and network troubleshooting. You will install, maintain and optimize PCs, servers, network devices and AV rooms, while ensuring SLA compliance and high client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes professional conduct, timely problem escalation, and hands-on service delivery across on-site and client-facing deployments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; may require technical certification or Associate Degree.
• Generally, 1-2 years’ experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Field Engineer for specific clients and products, including tech kiosks/desks.
• Provides software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices.
• Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices.
• Supports network products from both operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities.
• Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
• Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.
• Provides follow-up on problems or escalations.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
• Meets SLA requirements and ensures client satisfaction in all interactions.

You will be successful in this role if you have:
