Field Engineer – Structured Cabling (Travel)

Job summary

Mortenson is currently seeking an Experienced Field Engineer to join the Structured Cabling Group. The role will support and complete the full cycle of field coordination issues with team members, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

This position requires 100% travel on a rotational basis across the U.S. and may involve 3–4 weeks on project sites with roughly one week at home. Location is TBD and assignments are made as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide Pre-Construction support and manage submittals and RFIs.
• Evaluate design and engineering documents and distribute to stakeholders.
• Prepare turnover binder templates and assist Pre-Mobilization meetings.
• Coordinate subcontracting, procurement, and local vendor logistics.
• Support project closeout with documentation and final inspections.
• Track quality, safety, and site logistics for DFW responsibilities.
