Hensel Phelps is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Superintendent in front-line field management on construction projects in Florida. The FE will assist with layout, quality control, safety, and coordination with trade partners, while supervising crews as needed and interfacing with VDC and 3D model tools.

The role requires a 4-year civil/construction degree, 1 year of experience or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a construction-related field.
• At least 1 year of experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong communication skills are essential for coordination with field teams and subs.
• Experience with MS Office, ProjectSight, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy before placement of concrete.
• Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for schedules and cost control.
• Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners.
• May direct a small workforce to gain supervisory experience.
• Coordinate material deliveries and track status against requirements.
• Inspect materials for quantity, quality, and condition; report missing/damaged items.
• Assist foremen and trades with interpretation of plans and specs.
• Oversee trade partners and direction of work crews as assigned.
• Participate in jobsite safety meetings and audits.
• Collaborate with VDC team on scope of work and deliverables for field operations.
• Review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software.

4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Construction Management or related field
