Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to provide high-level technical support, optimization, and documentation for specialized communications systems, including RF and broadband architectures. The role requires travel across Missouri, Illinois, and neighboring states, with extensive field work and end-to-end system configuration.

You will troubleshoot, install server hardware/OS, and manage network infrastructure while maintaining rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Military, Motorola equipment, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering or Networking equipment.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical support for specialized communications systems, focusing on troubleshooting software-driven electronics and optimizing RF and Broadband architectures.
• Program, configure, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems.
• Develop and implement solutions for difficult technical challenges during system implementation, upgrades, or support activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines with trend analysis and meticulous documentation.
• Submit comprehensive weekly reports detailing activities and accomplishments.
