Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Field Engineer to support Illinois public safety projects, traveling up to 75% to clients across MO, NE, KS, KY, IN, and IA. You’ll optimize RF and data systems, install and test complex configurations, and document results while maintaining CJIS compliance.

Residency in Illinois is required. A strong background in RF, LAN/WAN, and console equipment is essential, with a customer-focused, safety-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in LMR, RF, or IT systems.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Experience with RF and data infrastructure.
• Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical support and optimization for specialized communications systems.
• Program, configure, test, and document complex RF and broadband architectures.
• Develop solutions for challenging technical issues during implementations or upgrades.
• Submit weekly activity reports detailing progress and outcomes.
