Job summary
Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to support the T8 North team across WA, OR, CA, MT and ID. You will install, optimize, and maintain complex mission-critical systems, perform advanced troubleshooting, and document results.
The role requires on-site work with travel up to 75% and on-call readiness to sustain public safety networks. The ideal candidate has RF and P25 experience, strong LAN/WAN knowledge, and hands-on expertise with test equipment; a commutable distance to the Pacific
Qualifications
- Education/certifications in electrical/telecom fields and/or military tech training.
- Strong RF, P25, and data/networking knowledge with test equipment.
- Willingness to travel 50–75% and support on-call requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, optimization, and maintenance of public safety systems.
- Respond to alarms and perform advanced troubleshooting and configuration.
- Document changes and maintain system availability through proactive monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and cut-over systems.
- Submit weekly activity reports detailing progress and issues.
