Job summary

RISE Group is seeking a Field Engineer to conduct hands-on field inspections of power boilers, pressure vessels, power piping, steam turbines and related critical components.

The role requires coordinating a field crew, collecting data, and writing detailed reports, while traveling extensively across the United States during outage seasons. Outage seasons occur twice yearly for 3–4 months, with an 80% travel expectation and a daily travel allowance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on field inspections of power boilers, pressure vessels, power piping, steam turbines and related critical components.
• Collect accurate field data and compose detailed engineering reports documenting the results from inspections.
• Manage the field crew which consists of technical craft laborers that specialize in weld repairs, examination of critical components and non-destructive testing while at the job site.
• Communicate and present report findings to the field crew, management and the client.
• Oversee and supervise work performed by subcontractors and troubleshoot any problems that may occur out in the field.
• Performs other duties as needed to support the team.
