Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking an on-site Field Engineer in Dallas to oversee critical technical functions, manage engineering projects, test equipment, and conduct thorough site inspections. You will engage directly with clients, ensure regulatory compliance, and solve complex on-site problems.

The role requires interpreting drawings, establishing horizontal/vertical control, maintaining benchmarks, and coordinating across teams to ensure project accuracy and smooth execution on site.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret complex structural, architectural, and shop drawings.
• Provide accurate layouts from drawings without supervision, including footings, columns, and building lines.
• Apply temperature corrections and ensure measurement precision in field work.
• Proficient in Data Collection software and AutoCAD fundamentals.
• Foundational knowledge equivalent to Apprentice level.

Responsibilities

• Survey project horizontal and vertical control, maintain alignment and benchmarks.
• Care for and operate Total Station and Auto Level equipment, calibrate instruments.
• Compute concrete quantities, track pours, and manage material quantities on site.
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve conflicts across drawing sets.
