Job summary

Turner Construction Co. in Dallas, TX is seeking an Entry level Construction Assistant to support field operations on the Dallas Main division project.

You will assist in obtaining, evaluating, and coordinating information to align with contract documents, safety standards, and project schedules. The role emphasizes teamwork, basic layout, safety program support, document control, and preparation of daily reports.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education in engineering, construction, or related field.
• Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and related applications.
• Basic understanding of scheduling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and grade work for building layout and control.
• Assist in implementation of site safety program as required.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
• Assist in maintenance of contract documents and electronic field documents.
• Assist in preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
• Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for coordination and installation.
• Assist in preparation of project as-builts.
• Assist in protection and promotion of Turner interests.
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
