vdBA SecureOps is building a security-led managed services practice for life sciences clients. The Field Engineer is our hands-on, in-person technical presence— the person who shows up, sets things up, and fixes what can’t be fixed remotely.

Because so much of this role is in person, professionalism, communication, and organization matter as much as technical skill. Meraki and MSP expertise are required for this role.

Qualifications

• MSP experience supporting multiple clients/environments.
• Hands-on Meraki networking experience is required.
• Strong Windows/M365 and macOS support in a business setting.
• Excellent communication and professional client presence.
• Willingness to travel locally to client sites within the metro area.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside support and hardware installs at client sites.
• Handle on-site moves/adds/changes and on-site escalations as needed.
• Represent vdBA professionally to client staff and executives.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki networking across client environments.
• Manage VLANs, firewall rules, VPN, and wireless issues; coordinate with vendors on-site.
• Maintain Windows endpoints and Microsoft 365; support macOS endpoints in mixed environments.
• Provision, image, patch, and enforce security baselines via Intune/RMM.
• Assist with Active Directory and backup/disaster-recovery tasks.
• Own Tier 1/2 tickets end to end and escalate when appropriate.
• Keep tickets and PSA documentation up to date; follow runbooks and enrich knowledge base.
• Communicate clearly with clients; support onboarding of new clients, sites, and devices.
