McShane Construction Company is seeking a Field Engineer to support on-site supervision, coordination of subcontractors, and adherence to safety and project timelines. The role requires working closely with the Project Superintendent and site teams to ensure quality and efficient execution.

Candidates should have 0-2 years in construction management, be proficient with Salus, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Office, and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years construction management experience.
• Proficient with Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full-time, in-office position.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols and company policies; conduct safety audits.
• Conduct site inspections for quality and cleanliness.
• Support the Superintendent in meetings, logs, and progress documentation.
• Facilitate timely delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and report issues to the Project Superintendent promptly.
• Develop quality control lists in construction management software and MS Office.
• Assist with project schedules and adjust as needed.
• Foster relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors on site.
• Read drawings, site plans, and technical drawings.
• Understand construction methods and building codes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills with construction management software.
