Job summary

McShane Construction Company is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site support for project execution and supervision. This role works with the Project Superintendent to coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, and help maintain schedules and budgets across Madison, WI.

Qualifications include 0–2 years in construction management, proficiency with Salus, PlanGrid, and MS Office, and the ability to read drawings. This is a full-time, in-office position requiring a U.S.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Construction Management.
• Fully proficient with Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full-time, in-office position.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality and adherence to plans.
• Support meetings, logs, and progress documentation.
• Facilitate timely delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
• Identify issues and report risks to the Project Superintendent.
• Develop quality control lists in construction management software.
• Assist with project schedules and adjust as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
