Job summary

McShane Construction Company is seeking a Field Engineer in Rosemont, IL to support on-site supervision and project coordination. You will assist the Project Superintendent, enforce safety protocols, coordinate subcontractors, and help manage timelines and budgets. This in-office, full-time position requires 0-2 years of construction management experience and proficiency with Salus, PlanGrid, and MS Office.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and work authorization are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years' experience in Construction Management.
• Fully proficient with Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations and activities.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, cleanliness, and adherence to plans and standards.
• Support the Project Superintendent in holding site meetings, maintaining logs, and documenting site progress.
• Facilitate timely delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and report potential issues, risks, or discrepancies to the Project Superintendent promptly.
• Develop quality control correction list in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Assist with the implementation of project schedules and adjust as directed to address project needs.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors on site.
