McShane Construction Company in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Field Engineer to support on-site supervision, safety, and coordination of subcontractors. You will help ensure project timelines and budgets are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards on active sites. This full-time, in-office role requires strong communication, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with construction management software.

A valid U.S. driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of construction management experience.
• Strong client and partner communication.
• Proficient with Salus, PlanGrid and MS Office.
• Full-time, in-office role in the U.S.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to meet specs and schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols (OSHA) and company policies to maintain a safe site.
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality and cleanliness.
• Support meetings, logs, and documenting site progress.
• Ensure timely delivery and storage of materials and tools.
• Identify issues and report to Project Superintendent promptly.
• Develop quality control lists in construction management software and MS Office.
• Assist with project schedules and adjustments as needed.
• Build positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors.
• Read drawings and site plans accurately.
• Demonstrate leadership and multitask effectively.
• Proficient with construction mgmt software.
