Job summary

RiseMe in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Engineer to lead field operations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes and contract specs. You will liaise with project crews daily to maintain schedules, analyze drawings and manage resources for on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will review specifications, support design input, and coordinate permits, inspections and subcontractor activities to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
• 1+ year construction engineering experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specifications and materials.
• Ability to take responsibility and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review schedule and ensure materials and resources are available.
• Analyze shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data for quality and compliance.
• Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling and identify risks to budget or schedule.
• Track project performance and document daily activities accurately.
• Coordinate cost coding with finance for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Review timecards with office manager and supervisors; resolve inquiries as needed.
• Check project specs for QA from start to finish and manage required certificates/inspections.
• Plan field layout with crews and mark utility/commercial lines; obtain permits as needed.
• Assist development of design drawings and provide technical input.
• Coordinate subcontractor methods, schedules and crews.
