Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Field Engineer to lead on-site projects, providing technical engineering information to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and contract specs. You will collaborate with project crews to review schedules and assure resources are available.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of construction engineering experience. On-site duties include field layout, permits, QA, and coordination with subcontractors; benefits include comprehensive compensation and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 1+ year of experience preferred
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge required
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specifications, and building materials
• Ability to communicate effectively with others

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available to keep production on schedule and within budget
• Collects, coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specs, material requirements and project data to ensure quality and compliance
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identifies risks that could impact budget or schedule
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections and documents project activities using approved methods and technologies
• Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using project cost coding and coordinates with finance for time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs
• Reviews and approves daily timecards; collaborates with Office Manager, payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries
• Reviews project specs for QA at start, during, and after work; initiates permits and documentation
• Plans field layout with crews and engineers; marks utilities and commercial lines; initiates permits as needed before work begins
• Assists development of design drawings and provides technical input as needed
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed
